Bread
(4-Loaves)
5 cups Warm Water
1/3 cup Sugar
2 TBSP Yeast
1/4 cup Potato Flakes (optional)
11 cups Flour
1/3 cup Oil (or Shortening)
2 TBSP Salt
Mix water, sugar, yeast and potato flakes (if desired) together. In another bowl, mix flour, oil, and salt. Combine water and flour mixture and add flour to make a soft but firm dough. Let rise 1 hour. Put in pans and let rise. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Not sure if this is the one Mom used every week. She did not put in the potato flakes.
