Black Onion Sprout Seeds

Add 1 Tsp of Black Onion Sprouts to a bottle to soak. Add about 1/2 Cup Water and cover with a screen lid to allow for rinsing.

Keep seeds soaking for approximately 5-7 days (seeds will soften some so they will sprout),  draining and adding more water once a day.

On the seventh day, remove the screen lid on the soaking bottle and dump seeds into a grow tray and then rinse the seeds. Try to cover the bottom of the grow tray evenly with the seeds without touching them to disturb any growth on the seeds.

Rinse the seeds twice daily to keep them moist so they will sprout. It usually takes about 5-7 days for them to grow to about 1 inch and turn green.

Once they are ready, I like to add them to a Tupperware dish with a paper towel at the bottom and then store in the fridge.

They are so good on deli sandwiches!!!

Can be added to salads as well.

These are still a work in progress as I have not had as much success with these as I have with alfalfa or radish seeds. Starts these at least a week before the others so they are ready about the same time.
