1 cup of sour cream
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 large tsp baking powder
1 cup melted shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
4 3/4 cup flour
Beat soda in cream. Add sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla, and shortening. Beat thoroughly. Add dry ingredients to mixture. Mix together well. Roll on floured board and cut out cookies or roll dough into balls. Bake 10 minutes at 375 F. makes 6 or 7 dozen.
