2 Cups Sugar
1/2 Cup Karo Syrup- White or dark
1/2 Cups water
Dash of salt
Add after boil- 2 Stiffy Beaten Egg Whites
Tsp Vanilla
Optional- Walnut halves
Boil until it forms a hard ball or crackles in water. Pour slowly into 2 stiffy beaten egg whites and vanilla, stirring constantly. Beat until it begins to stiffen.
Drop on a buttered plate (like a scoop for a cookie only smaller) and put one walnut half on top (if desired) of each candy.
