5/8 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
dissolve slat in a bit of hot water...it seems to help

Ingredients: Small (10 oz) loaf of French Bread, pulled apart into 1-inch pieces 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar 3/4 Tsp Cinnamon Dash of Salt 6 Large Eggs 1 1/4 Cups Milk 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract Serves 8 to 10 Directions: 1. Generously butter a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish. Place the bread pieces in the dish. 2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Sprinkle the mixture over the bread. 3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread. Then use a spatula to press the bread down to make sure it is well coated. 4. Cover the baking pan with aluminum foil and refrigerate it for at least 4 hours, or overnight. 5. When you are ready to cook the French Toast, heat the oven to 350 F. Ingredients: 1 Egg 3/4 Cup milk 2 TBSP Canola Oil 1 TBSP Syrup 1 Cup Flour 2 Tsp Baking Powder 1/2 Tsp Salt Butter or oil for frying 1 or 2 add-ins from the list below Add-In Choices 1/4 Cup Grated Apple or Pear 1/2 Cup Blueberries 1/4 Cup Chocolate Chips 1 to 2 TBSP Walnut Bits Serves 4 to 6 Directions: 1. Crack the egg into a large mixing bowl. Whisk in the milk, canola oil, and maple syrup. 2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and stir just until all the ingredients are wet. The batter should be lumpy. 3. Gently stir in the add-ins of your choice. Don't stir too much, though, or the pancakes will be dense. 4. Ask an adult to help you at the stove. Lightly butter or oil a nonstick frying pan, and then warm it on the stovetop over medium heat for about one minute. Turn the heat down to medium low. Ingredients: 1 TBSP Vegetable Oil 1 Chicken Breast, cut into bite-size pieces 1 Onion, chopped 2 TBSP Butter 1 1/2 TBSP Curry Powder 1/4 Tsp Garlic Powder 1 (13.5 oz) can Coconut Milk 1/2 Cup Raisins 1/2 Apple, peeled and grated 1 Packed Cup fresh Baby Spinach Directions: 1. Ask an adult to help you at the stove. Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Cook the chicken and onion in the pan, stirring often, for 6 to 7 minutes to lightly brown the meat. Transfer the chicken and onion to a bowl, and set it aside. 2. Pour and leftover liquid out of the pan and into a leak-proof container. Turn the heat down to low, and melt the butter in the pan. Stir in the curry and garlic powder, and cook until the mixture starts to bubble (about 1 or 2 minutes). 3. Stir in the coconut milk, raisins, and grated apple.
