Pickled Eggs

3 cups white vinegar
1 cup water
3 bay leaves
1 tbsp mustard seed
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp crushed red pepper
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 slice medium onion or tbsp minced onion

heat vinegar and water together until boils then remove from heat. Have remaining ingredients in jar along with hard boiled eggs(peeled). take a tooth pick and poke 3-4 holes in eggs before putting in jar.

pour vinegar water over eggs, put lid on and let cool, then refrigerate. let stand for 3-4 days before eating

makes 2 dozen eggs
