1/3 cup butter or margarine
2 cup confectioners sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2-4 tbsp hot water
melt butter in saucepan. blend sugar, and vanilla. stir in water one tablespoon at a time, until glaze is of proper consistency. Glazes at 10" chiffon or angle food cake.
orange glaze-
add 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel to melted butter and substitute orange juice for the vanilla and water
