Southern Corn Bread

1 3/4 cup flour

add:
  3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
  1/2 cup sugar
  7 teaspoons baking powder
  1/2 teaspoon salt

sift the above ingredients together 3 more times

beat together:
   1/2 cup oil
  2 eggs
  1 cup milk

add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients, carefully stirring until completely blended, but do not overmix

pour batter into a well greased 8 inch square baking pan
Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes
