Salt Garden

things you will need:
a clear plastic or glass container about the size of a shoebox
pieces of brick
pieces of clay pottery
pieces of sponge
food coloring (3or4 different colors)
bowl
measuring spoon (tablespoon)
ammonia
liquid bluing
water
salt

1. dampen enough pieces of brick, clay pottery and sponge to cover the bottom of a clear, plastic or glass container
2. sprinkle four or five drops of each color of food coloring over the brick, pottery, and sponge
3. mix together in a bowl four tablespoons of ammonia, four tablespoons of liquid bluing, and four tablespoons of water. Pour this mixture over brick, pottery, and sponge.
4. Cover the brick, pottery and sponge with salt (LOTS)
5. wait a few hours and watch your "garden" grow
